Customer revenue concentration Calculator

Measure dependence on the largest customers and the concentration of your revenue base. This free customer revenue concentration calculator shows the calculation and its assumptions so you can compare your own figures.

How the customer revenue concentration calculation works

Concentration index = sum of squared percentage revenue shares. Equal-sized equivalent = 1 ÷ sum of squared decimal shares.

The index is a commercial dependency measure. It does not imply legal competition thresholds or a universal safe concentration.

Using this calculator

  1. Enter your own figures in the labelled inputs. Keep the currencies, units and time periods consistent.
  2. Choose any applicable rate profile, pattern or assumption shown for this tool. Open additional inputs when relevant.
  3. Review largest customer percent and top three customer percent and revenue concentration index, then read the stated assumptions and eligibility conditions before using the result.
